Green Force Club

NCDC is aiming to empower school students from grade 6, 7, 8, and 9 to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and village greening actions through the Green Force Club (GFC). It is an independent group in each school through which students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighbourhood communities to promote sound environmental behaviour. GFC will empower students to explore environmental concepts and actions beyond the confines of a syllabus or curriculum. The members of GFC will be working with NCDC as change agents in the rural village. The concept of GFC was recently introduced in three high schools of Ward No 3, 4, and 5 of Gaidahawa Rural Municipality. Interested students from three high schools will be gradually encouraged to be a member of GFC in their respective school. A seven membered GFC Executive Committee was formed in each school which will be responsible for coordinating any kind of environmental and greening activities within their settlement areas. The Executive Committee members were also given GFC orientation and skill development training.
